By allowing Shiva Gals to take the reins, mourners are able to tend to healing their hearts and paying tribute to their loved ones rather than the flurry of tasks and details that come with planning their time of mourning. Shiva Gals creates an environment and structure within which the bereaved are able to grieve while being immersed in the comfort of Jewish tradition surrounded by friends, family and their community.

Coordinate Shiva service details with rabbi/synagogue
SET UP & CLEAN
Set up/clean up/monitor food/desserts/beverages during Shiva and family meals

Secure valet and/or security services as needed
READY THE VENUE
Prepare for family and friends arrival
LIST OF GIFTS/DONATIONS
Provide family with detailed list of gifts and donations including: names, addresses/donation amount
RITUALS
Help determine which rituals the bereaved wish to observe and execute them
SUPPLIES
Serving vessels and utensils provided as well as disposable plates, flatware, napkins, drink-ware, ice, to-go containers
PET LODGING
Arrange lodging for pets as needed
LEFTOVER DONATIONS
Donate “safe” leftover food to charity
THANK YOU NOTES
Purchase thank you notes for family’s use
FAMILY MEALS
Coordinate/order family meals (kosher food upon request)
RENTAL OPTIONS
Rent items NOT provided by Shiva Gals (ie. coat racks, mud mats, chairs, tables, linens, china, flatware, glassware)
ACCEPT DELIVERIES
Accept deliveries at the home/temple/Shiva location while family is at funeral
MONETARY DONATIONS
Coordinate monetary donations from friends and family through web-site and apply them to Shiva and family meals
